Things to know about Larch  Valley

Park at the Moraine Lake parking lot. Walk on the trail past the Moraine Lake Lodge and the canoes. The trail head will start to your right after that. Make sure to stop before or after your hike to enjoy the view of the lake!

Make sure to check the trail report from Parks Canada. This trail frequently requires hikers to  be in groups of 4 or more due to bear safety.

If you are thinking to do this hike on the weekend, I recommand to plan it early otherwise you will have to take the shuttle from Parks Canada as the parking lot gets full really quick. Don't forget Moraine Lake is super touristy and one of the most photographed location in all Canada! (source from Wikipedia)

This hike goes to an alpine larch forest high above Moraine Lake where, the view of the Ten Peaks is breathtaking.

This hike is easy and accessible for the whole family. It is a must to do during the fall as the larch colours will change to a spectacular yellow.
