Things to know about Hoodoos Trail in Banff

The parking lot is at close of the Tunnel Mountain Campground in Banff as soon as you see the campground the parking lot will be at your right (if you are coming from Calgary)

This not really a hike but more a walk or a short running. So this trail is perfect for a night activity!

2 routes possible you can make  the whole trail to the Hoodos and continue on the mountain bike trail that will be 6,5 km or you can just go to the Surprise Corner that will be 4.6 km. Check my STRAVA to check out my route.

Super easy trail perfect for family that gives you a good view of the Bow Valley and Rundle Mt.  The trail is even groomed so you don't need trail running shoes. I recommand to do this hike for sunset.

Great view of the Bow Valley and the town of Banff lie immediately below, and Tunnel Mountain, Mount Rundle, and Sulphur Mountain are all visible beyond.

Pretty impressive we have some hoodos almost downtown Banff. The hoodos are formed by several years of erosion and are composed of soft and hard layers of rock & sand.
